Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE)

Campus-wide service unit responsible for assisting faculty, academic units, and teaching assistants in improving instruction. The staff consults and advises on a wide variety of instructional issues. CTE includes four divisions:

  • Instructional Development
    Consultative services for individual faculty members and TAs, workshops and seminars for academic units, colleges, or the campus on instructional, course, and curricular issues.
  • Measurement and Evaluation
    Instructor and course evaluation, student outcomes assessment, and the assessment of instruction and curriculum.

Office of Continuing Education

Office of Continuing Education, whose mission is to provide leadership for lifelong learning and distance education. Through shared visions with faculty, OCE opens the campus community to students of all ages.

Imaging Technology Group

Provides imaging facilities for researchers using the Microscopy Suite and the Visualization, Media, and Imaging Laboratory (VMIL). ITG develops advanced imaging technologies with an emphasis on projects in remote and automated instrument control.
